Hair colouring with Clairol Nice n Easy Foam

I have been colouring my hair for quite a few years now and usually get it done at the hairdressers, but in the last few years having been busy with the kids and work, I decided to colour it myself.

I have been trying out quite a few different ones and of course, have always found it hard to find the right colour that I like. They usually always turn out too dark on my hair or not enough staying power and they fade quite quickly.

Recently I tried Clairol Nice n Easy colouring number 6 Light Brown and really liked it. The colour is really close to what I ideally want and it applies well. I tried out the foaming one recently and I really like that it is mess free.

You mix the tint and developer and with a pump bottle, you squeeze the bottle to get the product out. Using the gloves the idea of the foam is that it is easy to use and mess free, which it really is. The foam can be spread all over the head as if you are shampooing it, I did section off my hair and do it that way first before spreading it all over my head. Once the time was up, it rinsed out really well and let it dry naturally. I love the whole process, simple, easy and the colour turned out the way I wanted it to.
The result I got - picture taken two days after I coloured it!
Recently, I came across Celebrity Colourist and Nice’n Easy Colour Expert Belinda Jeffery's top tips for perfect hair colour:

Shade - When looking for a shade, always choose close to your natural base colour, and only ever 2 shades lighter or darker.

Skin tone - Your complexion is the key to making the right colour choice. If you have an ivory or creamy coloured skin, you can be as adventurous as you like. However, if you have a pale pink-toned or ruby complexion choose neutrals such as ash blonde, ash brown or dark brown.

Prep - Before applying Nice’n Easy colour, use some papaw or gel around your hairline to prevent
staining on the skin and that ‘just coloured’ look.

Roots- When touching up roots, always begin at the nape of the neck and work your way up to the front and hairline. Nice’ n Easy Root Touch Up is great for this.

Post - dye care - A must use product is the Clairol Nice’n Easy Colour Seal Gloss Treatment. The conditioning treatment comes in the pack, and leaves hair soft and shiny – plus it seals the hair shaft and locks in colour.

Ease of Use - If you find you need more control when applying the colour, try using Nice’n Easy Colour Blend

Foam – the texture of the foam makes it easier to apply as the non-drip formula prevents unwanted colour movement.

I was overall pleased with the Clairol Nice n Easy and would recommend it to anyone that wants to give a home colour, a try. The Clairol Nice n Easy Colour Blend Foam is $17.99rrp, available at supermarkets with 37 shades to choose from.

Sukin Rosehip oil review

Is your skin feeling a little dull? Do you want to improve your overall skin condition? I have found a excellent product that I love and am so glad I tried. The Sukin Rosehip Oil is fantastic. I bought it from Priceline when it was on sale as I have heard really great things about using rosehip oil.
I have tried a few Sukin products and really like them, so I was interested to see how the Sukin Rosehip Oil will work.

Sukin says: Sukin 100% Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil contains no less than 80% essential fatty acids necessary for protecting cell membranes, skin healing vitamin E, beta carotene and the powerful anti-ageing antioxidant, lycopene.
Rosehip oil can be used to soothe irritated or dry skin as well as an everyday treatment oil.

Sukin’s rosehip oil is cold pressed harnessed from the seeds of wild Chilean grown rosehips via a solvent-free extraction process to retain the oils precious actives for optimal performance.
This unique oil feeds your skin vital nutrients to promote healthy skin, assists skin renewal and repair and can help treat problem skin conditions.

The Sukin Rosehip Oil comes in a 2.5ml dropper bottle. The actual product is a thick oil that you only need two to three drops to massage onto your whole face. It feels really nice and soft on the skin and is absorbed quite quickly. I did talk about this in my latest you tube video if you want to watch that here.

I apply this at night and the next morning my skin feels amazing. It feels rejuvenated, hydrated and my skin looks brighter. My redness was gone that I usually have on my cheeks. I have combination skin, so I was worried that this might be too oily for my skin, but it wasn't. When applied just enough to cover the face (remember not too much!) it works amazing.
This is great for all skin types and I would definitely recommend it as a great product to use in a skincare routine. The ingredients in this product are fantastic for the skin and it is 100% organic which is great.

If your looking for something to improve your overall skin health and give you that improved look then this is a must try! The Sukin rosehip oils is affordable and can be found for just under $20.

Dove Nourishing Oil Care Nurti-Oil Serum Review

I like to add some serum to my hair after washing it, to give it a soft smooth finish and reduce frizziness.

After trying the Dove Nourishing oil care nurti-oil serum, I have found the perfect product and it is affordable.

The Dove Serum comes in a 40ml plastic see through bottle which I love as you can see how much product you have used and it has a pump, easy to use.

Dove says: The Dove Nourishing Oil Care Collection transforms dry, rough and frizzy hair into beautifully smooth hair that’s easier to manage and style.
Dove Weightless Nutri-Oils, now enriched with Argan Oil, penetrate hair rapidly to deeply nourish, instantly smooth frizz and revitalize shine without weighing hair down.

I love that I can apply this on damp hair ( I don't like applying serums to dry hair), I use about 2-3 pumps on my short hair and smooth it through my hair avoiding the roots. I find that it evenly spreads throughout my hair, it doesn't leave my hair feeling oily, but rather when my hair dries it is smooth, silky and manageable.

It has argan oil which is a great ingredient for smoothing out the hair and controlling frizziness. It has a nice soft smell that I like too.

This is definitely a product I would repurchase and recommend, if you want smooth, shiny and non frizzy hair. The product itself is excellent value for $9.95aud available at supermarkets, selected pharmacies and Priceline.
